These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

  1. Please, please, please send me a bag. I would be forever grateful.

And you know I would get in the car and drive there if I could.

  5. I have a feeling that those chips are not for the light-hearted.

  6. Pepper (!!!), they actually aren't bad. I'd rate them as medium. Some bags have more punch than others, and they all definitely have a bit of a kick to them. But they are really, really good! They are nothing like the name-brand "chili chips" you sometimes find in the stores. These are like the ones I remember from my childhood, when the crazy New Mexicans were perhaps the only ones to eat them! yummmmmm!

  7. Luckily I'm in SOUTHERN Colorado 'cuz I get these things too!!! They're nowhere in sight even twenty miles north of here, though.

  8. Cathy, I found them a couple years ago on my way to or from KC. I stopped in Santa Rosa for gas and bought a bag. Next time through I bought several bags and left one with my son and DIL in Wichita and took one to Caroline in KC. Everyone has loved them, as you understand! Then a month or so ago I found them in San Antonio, Socorro Co, and I was thrilled because at 90 miles, it was about half the distance as to Santa Rosa. Today, I nearly skipped out of the store when I found them right here in River City .... I mean, Lincoln County!! :D

  9. I have never seen (or heard of) those before but DARN do they look good...my mouth is watering just imagining what they must taste like!

  10. MM-MM, you haven't heard of them because they are very much a "local" thing. The distribution area is very limited, New Mexico, and not all of NM, even. They are made in a tiny town by a woman who used to have a little family market of some kind. The store doesn't exist any more, but she has continued to make the chips. They are one of a kind, for sure!

    And they are mouth-watering!!

  13. Lyn we have some here called Sweet Chili made in Canada and they are excellent, but I'm sure they dont compare to yours. They make you want a Margharita (sp) while you nibble. lol

  16. Kathi, unfortunately for you they are sort of local. They are made in a small town in NM and distributed just in this area. I know I'm being selfish, but I hope they don't try to go bigger, farther .... I'm afraid the quality would suffer.
