These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

  3. I used to like Heineken but my tastes have changed. And right now I'd certainly avoid any room that has refrigeration. Brrrrrr!

Your pictures of that sunset are so gorgeous. Almost like out of a science fiction movie where somebody lands on another planet.

  4. Dave, Heineken was never at the top of my list. I've been favoring some of the Mexican beers for the last 3-4 years, and I tasted a been recently at a party that was excellent .... and now that I've teased with that information, I'm blanking on the name and where it was from! Sheesh, aging stinks sometimes!

The sunset pix are "natural," meaning I did not retouch them in the slightest. They are straight from camera to computer to blog. I agree, it was an amazing sight!

  8. Betty, you haven't missed Super Bowl. I think it is this coming weekend, but I'm not sure because for the first time I can remember I don't even know what teams are playing! I'll probably watch to see the commercials and read on the "off time"! LOL! I don't know the ultimate source of this. It was emailed to me, and I've even forgotten who sent it.

  11. My man is SO not the average man. He'd be looking at that fridge and going, "You realize, this is gonna cost us a fortune in electricity..." Harumph.
