These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Takin' Care of Mom

I remember as a child being very conscious of not stepping on the cracks. Not all the time, of course, but once it was in my conscious mind. I knew it wasn't true, but once I was thinking about it, I couldn't stand to step on a crack. And like Jeffy (or is that Billy) I didn't simply get off the sidewalk and walk in the grass or dirt. No, I continued to hop and skip over the cracks till I knew my mom would be OK, 'cause I didn't step on those cracks!!

So, what was/is your silly obsession? 'Fess up! Share what goofy thing you do!!

  1. We have some old pillow cases that are trimmed with lace at the opening and have a big fan. I have to have the fan upright and the lace toward the outside of the bed.

There. Now you know my one bit of OCD! :o)

  5. The worst sidewalks for "crack skipping" were the ones made up of the octagonal blocks that always had other cracks in them as well!

BTW: thanks for the reminder re: my profile - it'll be a very welcome change I can assure you! :)

  10. Oh dear, where do I begin?....

I STILL won't step on a crack! Also if there are stones I will hop one on one (in the MIL's yard she has stepping stones leading up to her porch).
