These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Tween 'Tude
.
Is there a parent out there who has survived parenthood to the stage of having a "tween" who doesn't get this?
I have to say I am afraid I wont survive "tween tude" I so want to duck tape her to a wall or something when she rolls her eyes or acts like i have three heads. But better then tween tude we have teen tude which is a 15 year old knows everything. Somedays I would like to just let them have the house and go far far away. The the one thing that keeps me sane is the promise of grandchildren someday far off in the future.
YEP!!! One of my stepdaughters, the one who was the most difficult of teens, later said that it is true .... what goes around, comes around! She had 3 kids, each of whom gave her as much trouble as she gave us! Payback is hell!
If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!

ReplyDeleteI have totally survived parenthood and the attitude that went with it. Been there, done that, don't ever want to do it again. I've done my time!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Bobbie, grandchildren ARE such sweet revenge. TEHEHE!!!

ReplyDeleteBut, Patti, doesn't Maddie hang out with some tweens and teens? You're right, however, it isn't limited to those ages.
