These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

A Movin' Monday Coming Up

.
I have a physical tomorrow morning. On one hand it is good to get caught up and be sure all is well. On the other, I don't want any bad news! It has been 2 years since I have had a full check up, so a lot could change. I just hope it hasn't.

After that appointment, I'm meeting Linda for some lunch and an art lesson. She is going to teach me technique with water colors. I've never had luck with them, and that is one of her main areas of expertise. I hope I will be able to master it. It may not be what I stick with, but I still want to learn. I have painted with oils, and tried acrylics a time or two, many years ago. I don't consider myself an artist, but I enjoy painting. It is relaxing.
Wish me luck.

After that, we are going to a yoga class. Linda just began a week ago, and it sounds very interesting. It is made up of women from their 50s to their .... 90s! In fact, the teacher is, I think, in her 80s. And, one of the best parts, it only costs $5 per session. Well, yeah, I'll go and try it! You betcha!
.

I'm probably going to be ready to collapse by tomorrow night! I'll let you know if I don't survive the day. LOL!

  1. Wow, you have a busy day ahead of you. But it also sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun....that is after your visit to the doctor. And I wouldn't worry too much about that. You have been taking really good care of yourself the last couple of years.

I imagine you will be sore after your Yoga class. But I have heard that it's the best excerise you can get. And how cool that it's only $5. You can't beat that price.

  2. Yeah, it's gonna be a crazy day, for sure. I'm not terribly worried about it, but at my age, so much can change in a couple years, so ....

Linda said she was very sore the next day after the class, but she loosened up right away. I hope my recent walking/hiking will help, too. We'll see!

  3. I can't avoid physicals because of my medications or I would. I don't like having to go yearly. It is great that you are going to do fun and positive activities after enduring all of the poking and prodding. Good luck and they won't find anything wrong. Think positive.

  6. IE, I normally don't mind my physicals, but (1)I've been 2 years since my last one, and (2)having to find a new doctor just make for an uncomfortable situation.

Bobbie, as I said above, I don't mind them under normal circumstances, but having to start with a new doctor after a couple years with zero check-ups made me nervous.

  7. Beans, it went well. No, when I was in that position, I saw nothing needing rescued! Thank goodness!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
