These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Sorry 'bout that, but ....
With apologies to my regular commentors, I've put word verification on the blog. I woke this morning to find that some idiot from Asia (China, I think) had spammed 25 or so of my past posts. Meh. It took me a long time to delete those, so I'm gonna protect the site for a while.

Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteI had to add verification to mine too. I don't think it's much of a hassle for commenters.
Oh, I know it's not a really big deal, Cheryl, but it just aggravates me that people do that, you know? I've had a few problems here and there, but never like this one.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThis is my first stop at your blog. I see your comments at Cheryl's all the time and decided it was time I visited you.
I had the most horrible comment in my email after I made a comment about Iowa last spring. It makes you wonder what gets into some people.
The verification is really no problem. No need to apologize.

You know, I've been pretty lucky, because I think there was only one time I had anything really bad or obscene. I know it really isn't a huge deal, but it just irritates me that there are people who are so shallow that they have to mess up other people's innocent fun to get a thrill or let off steam. Thanks, Hippo Chick!
ReplyDeletei go thru phases where i add word verification for the same reason. not sure why those spam comments appear and what the hell they are saying!
ReplyDeletethis guy wrote about a similar situation on his blog:

It was so odd that the same message was on so many of my posts. At least, I guess it was the same .... I don't read Chinese or Japanese or whatever it was, but the first few characters in each message seemed to be the same.
