These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

MERRY CHRISTMAS

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!!

I'm sitting on the couch , cuddling with the dogs, listening to Christmas music and watching the snow blowing around outside. I tried to capture it (see the picture), but was unsuccessful. When the wind gusts blow some of the snow from the roof, it swirls in the air with the sunshine behind it, and it sparkles like so many diamonds floating in the sky. It is absolutely gorgeous.

I hope everyone has a beautiful day. And I hope the day finds you with peace in your hearts, enough to last for the whole year ahead. I'll be off to dinner with friends this afternoon, then home to snuggle with the dogs again by evening.

If you don't check out the other blogs often, I posted a Christmas card on The Way I See It ...., so you might click over there.

May joy fill your hearts, now and for all future.

  1. I'm confused. Weren't you going to Albuquerque? I assume the snow kept you at home.

Will you be in Albuquerque for your course of medical treatment, and will you be able to continue blogging so we can hear how things are going?

Perhaps you should consider a netbook computer to go with your Kindle and iPod. I traveled recently, and my "baby computer," as I call it, was a god send. Now that you didn't have to buy the Kindle you should look at a "baby computer."

I can't think of a better time to use a Kindle. I've just about read mine to death. It's wonderful for reading in bed.

Hope you have a very nice Christmas day with your babies. Who's taking care of them during your treatment time?

  2. Linda, I did make it to Albuquerque! Not without a challenge or two, of course. It is generally good news, but I'm not out of the woods yet. I'll post about it in a day or two.

I actually have a laptop, and I've thought about taking it; however, I decided that I wanted to just make use of the time with reading and music. For those who know me well enough to know how much time I spend on the computer, that might seem out of character, but it "forces" me to take a break and enjoy some other loves.

I have a house/dog sitter, the 16 year old son of a friend. He loves the babies, and they love him, too. He is such a sweetie. He called and said to just let him know any time I want him and he will be there. It is so good to know that is a done deal in the planning of all this, one less worry.

I am having a nice, quiet day. I'm going out to dinner in a couple hours with a group of friends, and looking forward to that a great deal. I enjoy this group very much, and since most of us are single (we have 2-3 couples in the fold, too), it gives us a substitute family on holidays, such fun!

    Merry Christmas, Linda. :)
