These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Out of sync day

I woke very early this morning, around 3:45, and was feeling just slightly sick. Nothing serious, just a little bit of upset stomach. I tried several things to calm it, but nothing seems to work. I never got any sicker, just stayed barely enough icky that I couldn't go back to sleep.

I got up and did a little work, some straightening and a load of wash to keep my mind off how I was feeling, and still felt no better, no worse. I had a little to eat, a couple mini scones, and it helped a minuscule amount.

By 6:00 or so, I laid down on the couch and slept for a couple hours. When I woke, I felt better, however, I've had trouble finding any food that appeals to me. I've been hungry, but nothing sounds good. I keep nibbling on things, but nothing is satisfying me. I don't know what is going on in my body. I really hope I'm not getting sick. I don't think so, because the slight nausea is gone.

Just one of those days, I 'spose. I'll probably continue to feel out of sync for today and be fine tomorrow. I surely hope that is the way it goes!

  1. I hope you are feeling much better and continue to do so. I hate that type of feeling. I think you should take a few days and let your body rest, even if you start feeling better. You've been pretty active lately.

    I'll be thinking of you.

  2. Think positive. Visualize it as a bug and chase it out the door. No time to have a bug if your weather is improving.

  4. Sorry that you aren't feeling well. Just take it easy and rest a lot. It's only been 4 weeks since your surgery and your body is still trying to recover.

    Feel better soon.

  5. I have that feeling once in a while too and cant attribute to anything specific. I might avoid anything acidic and would stick to bland food for a day or two. Maybe toast or soup. Maybe some green tea. You have been through a lot too so might just be the "getting back to normal" thing. Take care!!

  6. Thanks, everyone. I've been going easy on what I'm eating to avoid something that might worsen the situation. I'm going to fix a toasted (not grilled) cheese sandwich in a little bit. I've had lots of green tea and ginger ale today. the tummy is actually fine now, but I'm not going to push my luck.

  9. I think I'm on the mend. I'm probably headed to bed fairly early tonight, and tomorrow will be a better day, I'm sure. Thanks!

  10. Hoping you are feeling better by no also. I know several people who describe pretty much what you did. Must be a little bug.

  11. Patti (and everybody), I think you're right. Whatever it is seems to be gone, and I'm feeling well today.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
