These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

How I'm spending today ....

Guess how I'm spending the day. Go on, guess.

OK, here's a hint.

I'm actually multitasking ....

That's my Kindle, so I'm obviously reading, as well as lazing around.

And don't forget the scenery.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Doncha wish you were here?

  1. Yes I do.....I imagine it's a lot cooler there then here. Plus, I helped my landlords clean up the mess the storm left.

  2. I was on the couch or in the hammock all day, save about an hour or so when a couple friends dropped by. I sat up for them!

  6. Well kinda, Jakes home until Wed. so I'm kinda enjoying his company. But did you here how hot it is here? Can't even sit outside. 96 today, 100 tomorrow, without the heat index!

  7. Andrea & Di, humidity is definitely not my friend, so I'll stay where I am! And Di, temps like that are just killer, aren't they? BTW, we choose to live in KC for all those years, and for much of it, the humidity wasn't a big issue. When you're young (or at least younger), those things don't seem to matter nearly as much, but as we age, many of us become intolerant of various weather components. Those who don't tolerate cold move to AZ or FL; those who don't do humidity head for the Southwest; those who don't like heat move to mountain tops, etc. Just part of the journey!
