MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT WAS PHISHED!!!!
IF YOU GET A MESSAGE FROM ME IN CHAT ON FACEBOOK, DO NOT OPEN IT!!!
I CAN NOT GET THE SECURITY RESET, AFTER GOING THROUGH IT OVER A DOZEN TIMES, SO I CANNOT ACCESS THE ACCOUNT TO WARN PEOPLE THERE. I AM EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED AND APOLOGIZE TO THOSE OF YOU WHO READ HERE.
IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO ACCESS PEOPLE AT FACEBOOK, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I'VE BEEN READING THE "HELP" TOPICS FOR ALMOST THREE HOURS AND NO HELP IS THERE. OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND I SEE NO SOLUTIONS YET.

Oh Lyn...that is terrible. I have no idea how to contact them....you know me, I get all my help from you. How did you know that happened?

ReplyDeleteI'm not hopeful that I can get it worked out. I read about 10-12 people who had similar problems and could not get it corrected, so they began new accounts. I may have to do that myself. I'm really aggravated!
ReplyDeleteRuth, when I tried to sign on after this happened, FB informed me that the account was temporarily suspended because it appeared I had been phished. that's when I started trying to fix it, going step by step through their process without success, over and over and over. ARGHHH!
http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=1009 is the only thing I can find...hope you can get this worked out!

ReplyDeleteDonna, FB would not even let me follow a link like you sent. Thanks for the help, however. I was beside myself!! I finally just gave up, out of frustration, slept on it, and this morning it was reinstated on the first walk through the process. Whew!
