These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Clouds and Mountains

A couple days ago, I noticed the cloud shadows on the mountains.

I love that effect!

And tonight, as the sun was setting, I saw the most beautiful soft colors in the clouds. Actually, it looked like Capitàn was getting socked with rain. But from here, it was gorgeous!

As I say ....

.... Life is beautiful!!!!

  2. Did you notice the question mark cloud formation in the upper left of your second photo?
You certainly have BEAUTIFUL surroundings, I am so envious. I hope it is cooler there than we are here this week. Yesterday it was 107 with heat index of 111 measured in our neighborhood.

  3. Yael, thanks so much!

DJ, I did not notice that. Cool! And as far as the comfort, oh yes!! Today the high was to be around 80°. Typical summer highs are 75°-85°. And the humidity is much lower than anywhere east of here, right now at 35%. Some days it is higher, but unless it is raining, it rarely gets over 50%, even here in the mountains which is generally more moist than the lower elevations. Yeah, I really love it here.

  5. Jen, I know we've talked about this before, but I have to say it again .... approaching rain always smells good, but desert rain is just something in a category of its own. Mmmmmmmmm.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
