These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Long day down

I was in Alamogordo most of the day. I went down to the dealership for them to try again to find out why my "check engine" light and "gas cap" message won't go away. I ended up being there for about five hours. They gave me a loaner again, so I was able to go for lunch and a little shopping. That was a nice break. And when I got back, they had run gibbledy-gook, gobbly-gip, twiddle-tim, jiminiky-jot tests, and nothing was being resolved. Finally they called Chrysler and ran all this past them, and they said that those tests results point to the SISM needing to be replaced. Yeah, I don't know what it is either. The only auto-related SISM I can find stands for "side impact sensing module." I have no freaking idea what this has to do with my emission  system. However, since the dealership is going to foot the bill, as it has taken so long to figure this out, I'm not going to grouse. The part is ordered, and when it is in, I'll go down again to have it installed.

While I was out of the dealership, I stopped in Hastings again and picked up for more inexpensive CDs. Chris Botti, Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, and the soundtrack of "Mama Mia." I love getting a good deal on something like that, and I will certainly enjoy all of them.

When I got home I was very unhappy to find my replacement home theater system was not delivered. The FedEx tracking said it was on the truck from Roswell at 6:23 AM, so I knew it would be here when I got home. I popped onto the computer to see what it said, and the update said that "Local weather delay, delivery attempted." HOGWASH! POPPYCOCK!! LIARS, one and all!! It rained here while I was gone today, but only 1/4 inch! This delivery guy has done this before when delivering the lawn mower. Not only that but on that first occasion, he left a message on my phone saying if I would meet him somewhere, he would "deliver" it to me. WTF??? He must be the biggest wuss in the world!! I decided to try contacting FedEx to complain, and I can't find a phone number or email address to get hold of anyone! What a stinko operation is that? Well, since I can't issue concerns with FedEx, I'll certainly let Walmart know what poor service they are paying for.

I had a visit this evening from The Boys. Here's a picture of one of them. Isn't he handsome?

They were hanging out with a young lady deer and moseyed through the property. The dogs were going crazy, and I went out to see what was stirring them up. I haven't seen them in a while, and they may have been here without me realizing it. It was good to see them. And I'm really glad to know they are still around.  :)

Gotta get some laundry done. Tomorrow is another busy day.

  1. Great picture Lyn. Your day sounded kind a sorta like my Sunday. My dryer finally died for good. I was so P.O.'d all day! I am cheap and hate spending money on something like a dryer!!!!!!!
Oh well, it will be the laundromat for me for a few weeks.
I hope your Fed Ex guy gets his nerve up to turn up tomorrow!
    Love Di ♥

  2. Thingy-fixing expenses just stink, don't they? I can always think of places I'd rather be spending it, and I'll bet you can, too!

And that FedEx guy .... grrrrrr. I won't be here tomorrow, or I'd give him a piece of my mind. I finally found a number of the FedEx service center in Roswell, and I'm calling them tomorrow, regardless. Double grrrrr!

  3. Hope your home theater arrives tomorrow. Love your deer. I hate having to wait at a dealership for repairs, glad they gave you something to drive so you could get out of there.

  6. Great picture. Don't you just love that they come to visit you.

Sorry to hear about the delay with your stereo system. Hope it gets there OK. Why in the world would they not deliver because of rain???? I know you live off a gravel road, but I can't imagine it being that bad.
