Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there's a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see.

Sooooo .... what awaits you?
I've thought about this many times, and I think the difference for me will be simply peace in my heart. Not that my life here is/has been terribly troubled, but I've had my share of trials and tribulations here. I know that's rather bland. That's what I get for having a decent life!!
But what an amazing difference for someone like Helen Keller! Or people who have lived with limb loss or paralysis. And those who struggle with mental health issues. I think that other room is gonna be pretty cool!
So, again, what awaits you?
Loving, learning, listening and leading the best life I can. Oh yes - your post makes me want to learn more about Helen Keller all over again. Every Blessing
ReplyDeleteIsn't she a marvelous inspiration? She was a great model for taking the high road, wasn't she? Unbelievably strong, positive woman.
ReplyDeleteI don't know ... Maybe someday someone will come back and blog about it.
ReplyDeleteThat would be fun! Freaky, but fun!
ReplyDeleteI hesitate to say it, but I think when you are dead, you are dead. Live life now and enjoy it is my attitude. Obviously others disagree with me...
ReplyDeleteNot meaning to make light of this beautiful quote, I think in heaven I will be able to sing like I have always wished I could.
ReplyDeleteHowever, my friend once said that maybe it would be that no one would care that I couldn't sing.
Thanks for sharing this thought.

Judy, I try to live life as fully as possible, regardless. To do otherwise is a waste! And to each his own!
ReplyDeletePam, either way is cool, I think!
I just don't believe in life after death; I think that when you are gone, you are gone! That's ok with me. I have had to be "brought back" too many times, and I always wish that the next time is for real. Death is just part of life for all of us, our friends, family and even for our pets.
ReplyDeleteIf I can't come back as a ghost, I don't know if I want to come back. I just think that haunting people would be cool.
ReplyDeleteMy brother-in-law just lost his father this past week. He was 92 but his mind was still sharp. People are living longer these days.
hahahaha - I never thought of haunting somebody..that would be cool. I know a few I would enjoy scaring the sh.. out of, lol
ReplyDeleteWhile I was in CO, D and I talked a lot about death and seeing loved ones after we pass away...or go to the other room. It kind of makes me sad because I do know that I will have loved ones waiting, but I wonder if that will include my parents. Knowing my Mother, she will leave the other room once she sees me as she has done so many times in this life.
ReplyDeleteI also wonder if my birth parents will be there when I pass away.
Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. :(
Moni, you crack me up!!
ReplyDeleteDave, you're just stirring the pot, aren't you?? LOL!
Caroline, I personally believe that what goes on here has absolutely nothing to do what what goes on there. The "crap" of life is left in this room, and we get to enjoy the love without the ugliness. Call me later and I'll expound on this. It think it is something you need to hear and will help you to deal with the here and now. (((C)))
I want to play Yahtzee with my mom and grandmothers! Love Di ♥
ReplyDeleteDi, I like that!
