These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Ahhhhhh

IT'S RAINING!!!!!!!!!!

It really is raining!!!!!!!

Now all together .... pray that it rains softly like this for enough time to wet the ground, for our general needs and to dampen the wildfire, but without causing runoff in the burned areas.

I have to tell you, it smells heavenly! We've been too dry, too long.

I'm going to bed and slumber sweetly.  :)

  1. Oh thank God for that rain Lyn. When I saw your photos below, it seemed a bit scary to me. I hope it rains enough to put the fires out.
    Love Di ♥

  2. 1 slow steady not too heavy rain prayer on the way.

  3. I love rainy days! People think it's gloomy but I'd pick a rainy day over a sunny day! It's more exciting to do a lot of things! Also to sleep, of course!

  4. About your comment in my blog..

I love hearing success stories! Those stories inspire me to just go on and things might begin to light up somewhere along the way. Just when I thought it's not possible, somehow it works out by itself. Thank you for sharing your story!

  5. Di, the rain will do little where the fire is still burning hot, but if keeps up (doubtful much more will come) it will help to reduce the spread. I'm certainly hoping!

    Bob, THANKS!!

Half Crazy, I love rain too, especially living in this arid part of the country, but I don't do well with long periods of gloom. I have SAD, and more than a couple days in a row sends me spiraling downward. but I'd put up with it now, if it meant rain would help the firefighters! I did sleep soundly last night!

I was puzzled for a moment about your second comment, then I realized you were referring to my comment at your blog! Silly me! I'm glad it meant something to you. I think we all need encouragement at times to take a risk. As the saying goes, sometimes you have to take a risk and step off the cliff, then grow your wings on the way down! Good luck.

  7. Glad to hear that you are finally getting some rain and it sounds like it's raining slow enough to really soak into the ground.

  8. Yes, I am thankful, too, Andrea. :)

Caroline, it wasn't a lot, but it was slow enough to actually soak in, that will be good for everyone. :)

  9. I like your pictures. Hope the rain helps settles the fires down. But don't be too sad about the fires. The earth needs to burn away the brush occasionally and start from scratch.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
