A quick post before I head off to work.
I got a little over 1/4 inch of rain last night! Yippeee skippeeeee!! It's not a lot, but my ground is wet, and hopefully it helped the fire fighters a bit. I know where the fire is still burning hot, it didn't matter, but perhaps it helped a bit to slow fresh burn. I hope so.
Here are a few photos, not mine, from the internet. They give some perspective, I think, to the events preceding the ones I took and posted here yesterday.

Live "candles." My heart aches at this. |
This next one just blows my mind. It is beautiful, a night photo of the fire, but it is also scary. Hold your breath ......

Adds perspective, doesn't it? |

That is really scary Lyn. I know I said that before but it really is. And sad. Love Di ♥
ReplyDeleteWow.....I will say that the last picture is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is both beautiful and scary. When they showed that on the morning news, it literally too my breath!
ReplyDeleteWow. I hope they can get them under control soon. This is very sad news.
ReplyDeleteRET, yes, it is. Yesterday the containment was at 50%. I haven't heard, can't find a more recent estimate. I do hope it comes to an end soon. It seems no homes or lives are at risk now, but it needs to be finished.
