These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Is this really me?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is me.

I don't think I've ever gone this long without posting, have I?  Wait, yes, when I was in Hawaii. But that does't count because I wasn't home.

Anyway, I will be posting this evening, finally back on track to finish up the vaca in Mexico. I wish I could say I haven't finished because I've been having a wonderful time, but no, it's all about the disruptions from wind lifting the roof, trying to put things back in place, etc. Well, it is finally back to normal, and the back posts are nearly done.

Soon!!

Meanwhile, my deck is wonderful once again!!

  1. Glad all is well. I always figure my blogger friends post when they want to.

I do hope no one will ever go 100% away, and if someone wants to take a long hiatus I hope they will post before they stop writing.

I almost stopped, but the encouragement and support I got was so uplifting I came back on board.

I know you just haven't posted because you have been busy, but I think you know what i mean.

  2. I need your green thumb. My outdoor plants aren't doing nearly as well and they don't live in a desert-like environment.

    Beautiful view, isn't it?

  3. Your deck is beyond wonderful. Your heart must have dropped to your toes when you first saw the damage. Glad this beautiful part of your life is back to wonderful.

Missed your posts. If it hadn't been for the occasional thoughtful comment on my posts I would have been sending an are-you-okay message.

I admire and aspire to be like all the blogger friends who post every day and post a notice of when they won't be posting and commenting. I'm not there yet and might not ever be!Looking forward to the next installments on your international sweet fifteen adventure.

  4. Merikay, yes, there are just ties, aren't there, when you run out of steam? I knew I would be back, but every waking moment was spent in necessary safety tasks, and I was exhausted in the evenings. It feels good to be back!

Dave, sometimes I'm amazed that I manage to keep all those plants alive through the winter. I think the thing that spurs me on is remembering how wonderful they are out on the deck in the summer! As for the view, yes it is nice, but what you see in that snap isn't the best part!! See that header photo? That another part of the vista! It is all around me!

LC, I was so stunned that I was like you see in movies where people walk around with mouths open, gawking at something. It was like I was in a bad dream! One of the selling points on this house was that deck; the other was the view from that deck!!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
