This stirred some sweet memories for me.
Right at the top of that list is when my son (now 47) was about 20 months old. After the excitement of opening gifts and playing hard all morning, it was nap time. He was exhausted and didn't fight the nap, but he wanted to take something with him. Somewhere (I couldn't locate it today) I have a snapshot of him curled up in his bed in a t-shirt and undershorts with new red insulated mittens on his hands and a Tonka Jeep clutched to his chest! Sooo cute!
These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................
Thank heavens for those sweet memories of days gone by.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the memories. The older we get the more they mean.
