These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Lolita

Before I left for work, I walked to the bedroom, and Lola was, well, like this.....

What was she doing? Just snoozing! She's my funny little girl that likes to bury her face when she sleeps.  Once she is asleep, she often removes her covering, but she likes to hide.

She heard the soft click of the camera, and turned ....

How dare I disturb her??

And this coming from the "kid" who unmakes the bed every day! Seriously, I make the bed and sometimes before I leave the house, other times, while I'm at work, she pulls the covers down, often burrowing under them, and napping! I've actually given up properly making the bed. I just pull everything up and smooth it out. That's as good as it gets!

And she's the one who "kills" every stuffed toy in the house. This is a small part of the most recent trophy.

It begins because she hates squeakers in the toys. She keeps after it until she gets the squeaker out, destroys it, then moves on the pulling all the stuffing out. This one was strewn around over 30 feet of the house. sigh. She even destroys "indestructible" toys, but I'll admit, this kind takes a little longer.

It's a good thing she is darn cute!

  1. By looking at her sweet face it would certainly be hard to be mad at her!Our Ruby (Pug) rips all of her toys apart too. We really have to shop to find one that she may not destroy the first day!
    Love Di ♥

  2. I felt lucky, Di. This toy was the last of several new ones that was given to the pups for Christmas by a friend. It lasted six weeks before falling prey to the little monster! That's pretty much a record for her! She carried it around off and on all this time, then I came home to .... death and destruction! LOL!

    1. Yes, she is. A trying one, but a sweetheart!

  4. I have had more than one "squeaker killer" in my life. Sometimes, it has even been fun to de-stuff once the squeaker is gone. Funny obsession, isn't it? She is a cutie!

    1. It is funny, but it is also very frustrating. The others love lugging around the cuddly toys. Sam even sleeps with them as a pillow occasionally. But I can't keep them around because of little missy!! As I said, it is a good thing for her that she is a cutie!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
