These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Off

I have been off all week. No, not off work. Not crazy, either. But off schedule.  Monday was not a holiday for us, so it isn't that. In fact, it is the opposite. Tuesday felt like Wednesday, today felt like Thursday. I've had to stop and think carefully about the date and day of the week, several times each day. I'll be glad when the week is over, so perhaps I can be back on the right day! Sheesh!

I've talked with several people who have had weird stuff going on in their lives, odd aches and pains, difficult relationships, all kinds of things. Odd times, these, or so it seems. Maybe it's the weather. I know the barometric pressure has just about bottomed out here today, and that always makes me hurt with fibromyalgia and/or arthritis. Tonight I've been aching in my bones pretty bad, the stomach turning kind of pain in my bones. I don't get that too often, but it is surely giving me fits now!

Have you noticed the peculiar weather lately?  It's snowing in places where it doesn't usually snow, weather spring-like well before the time for spring. And today ....  I said to a coworker, it feels like March is being impatient, not wanting to wait until its appropriate time to come in like a lion. The wind was awful here today! A friend mentioned that if I got out in it many more times, I would have a huge silver Afro! Indeed! The wind had pulled most of the curl out of my hair and gave me a beautiful wave hairdo, about six inches bigger than usual!  LOL!

My hand .... it is healing. It seems slow to me, but it is steadily healing. I'm able to leave one of the three bandages off now, and that helps with dexterity. The other two burns are still fairly raw and sensitive, but they are not infected and show daily signs of healing. I've been fussed over by a whole team of nurses at work, so healing is the only option!! So the main thing for me to remember is that I need to be patient. Not easy when an injury occurs.

It is snowing again this evening. Is anyone surprised? Nope, me neither!  The forecast this morning was for rain, then snow as temps dropped below freezing. That's such a deadly series of events, so I'm glad it is just snow. I can deal with that, but ice underneath snow is bad juju!

OK, I need to sleep. I have really been sleeping well and long recently, a good thing for the healing process. And right now, my body says it is time to go get some more healing.  I'll listen to the ol' bod and get some rest.

Hasta la vista, y'all!!

  1. There are lots of things that are a little 'off'. And just wait until the full moon and the sun spots start erupting. Things will really be off!!!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
