These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Shorty

Today was a long work day. Well, long for me. I'm tired, so going to bed. I hope I can sleep. There is a bugling elk out there, pretty close to the house, and geez, is he noisy!! And I paid bills tonight. That always makes me tired. Or is it depressed? Whatever!!!

I'll do a real post tomorrow. Promise.

:)

Life is beautiful!!!

....even after paying bills!!

  1. Ha! I know that I'm tired too. When I first read your post, I thought you said you had a bulging elk. I was like, "What?" Then I looked again. Oh, it's a bugling elk. I guess I should wear my reading glasses more faithfully!

  3. I'm laughing at the bulging elk comment!!! :) LOL!!
Don't think I'd be able to sleep with a bugling elk in the background...not exactly a "relaxtion tape"!!
Paying bills is the pits and if you still see the beauty in life after doing that Lynilu, you have got this thing all figured out!!
    Hope you slept well!

  4. Sheryl - LOL! Well, I guess if the elk was *bulging* he might be making an awful noise, too!!!

Patti - Their sound is unique. I don't mind it unless they are very close, and then I worry about them being *too* close, especially if I have to go outside for something, or, like last night, when they just keep sounding off over and over! I wanted to shout at him, "She ain't here, buddy, go away!!"

Sherri - He actually did quit shortly after I went to bed. Thank goodness!! And you're right .. not a relaxation tape sound at all! You know, on the paying of bills issue ... If I didn't have enough to pay them, I don't know how well I would rebound. I'm OK, and I just hate to part with the money! Yes, life is still beautiful!

  5. Add me to the list of depressed after paying bills. Yuck. Necessary evil, I guess.

Hope you were able to get some rest.

  6. If you can say that after paying bills, you've got it totally in perspective! lol

The elk comment made me laugh. Hope you got some sleep!

  7. Cheryl - Well, it is either a totally great perspective or I'm delusional! Perhaps a bit of each!!

The elk either moved away or found a girlfriend or gave up! I was able to fall asleep about a half hour after I went to bed. :)

  8. Casey - I just realized that I skipped over your comment! So Sorry!

Necessary evil, indeed! But I suppose if I'd leave those plastic rectangles in my pocket, I'd have fewer bills to pay. grumble grumble grumble.
