These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Vet Visit

Puppy got a clean bill of health. We're treating for fleas and ticks, got a worm treatment. Did not check today for heart worm or get immunizations because Doc didn't want to traumatize him. He is going back in about 3-4 weeks for all those things, a tooth cleaning, and a "vasectomy"!!! LOL! Yes, I know, he's having more than the vas ectomied! :D Just a little humor, there. And for the guys reading this, I'm sure it seems like very little humor!

His lungs are clear and strong, his heart strong and steady, all signs of his good health. His weight is 10.6 pounds. Doc felt that since all else seems good, there was no reason to give him a setback in his progress of adjustment by poking him and making him uncomfortable. He suggested that we wait to give him time to have more confidence about his home. When The Boy returns, he will have one shot, then he won't remember all the other stuff.

Doc believes him to be about four years old, a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix. He was impressed with The Kid's behavior and seeming adjustment thus far. He suggested using the collar in training only if necessary, and then didn't think the training collar would be necessary on this guy, just his regular collar.

That's about it. I'm glad to have a good outcome, no unhappy surprises!

I hope y'all aren't as bored with this as he is!!!

Oh sorry, L'il Guy, I didn't think you were listening! :D

Life is beautiful!!!!

  5. Thanks, Daisy, I'm glad, too. He is getting cuter all the time, as he is breaking out of the shell, a tad bit at a time.

  10. Look at all that personality in that face!! He is so adorable! I was laughing when I read the post before this one about him playing himself in the mirror, I've had so many (dogs and cats) do that and it's always so funny!

    Perfect match.
