These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Envy

Do ya wanna feel envy? LOL! Sure, like that is what we all live for, right? But seriously, a good kind of envy is available for you at Cameo's blog. Oh, yeah, she had an unforgettable day, for sure.

  1. I'm so glad you sent me there! I told her I was jealous but so very happy for her. What a GREAT experience.

  2. Okay, that was SO cool!!!! I've actually had a few presidential encounters. Heard Reagan speak (it was a school trip, so I had to go! LOL and then saw his motorcade when he stopped and ate a local McDonald's...like the only time in his years in office that he went to a fast food restaurant. So it was sorta a big deal!). But my FAVE is when I met President Carter. We went to see him teach Sunday School, then met hi, and Mrs. Carter afterwards. They were so exceptionally nice, and it's one of my cherished memories.

  3. Cheryl, exactly what I thought!

Cheryl Wray, I think it is exciting me to meet someone at that level regardless .... well, unless they are really bad (i.e., I detested LBJ, and I would not have wanted to meet him). The Carters would be a thrill for me. His presidency may have been "lackluster," as I've heard it described, but his/their work as a whole has been awesome. Two people I greatly admire. OK, I'm envious all over again! :)

  4. I had the chance to go see Tom Ridge speak up in Erie a couple weeks ago but turned it down cause I didnt want to hear how great McCain is I kind of regret it now. Tom has done great things for the state of Pa when he was governor
