The dancing is going very well. But ....
I am taking a Dramamine before each lesson. You see, I have some hearing loss , and the inner ear isn't working like it should, meaning my equilibrium is out of whack. So when we do more than a couple spins, I get really dizzy. Not only do I get dizzy, but it sticks around for a while, five minutes at least. So I began taking the Dramamine to counter that. It is helping a lot, but about the time I get home, the sleepy-effect of the drug hits me, and I can hardly stay awake. Once in bed, I'm a goner!
Right now, I'm a goner.
Night.
These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................
I feel your pain. I'm feeling nauseous just reading about the dizziness!
ReplyDeleteGet some rest... I'm right behind you.
Cathy, the nice thing is that I wake very refreshed. I feel really good this morning. :)
ReplyDeleteDramamine makes me sleepy too. In fact I am not sure I could get through a dance class before it started to kick in.
ReplyDeleteHope you had some good Zzzzz....
ReplyDeleteThank God for Dramamine. Inner-ear sufferer here too!
Sorry to hear that you are so tired. Last night I was emotionally done when I got home and went straight to bed; something that I never do.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying the dance lessons.
HEY!!! How cool that you're taking dancing lessons. But I guess I would've known that before now, had I not been such a slacker in the blog reading dept. You know I still love ya though!
ReplyDeleteTalk to you soon. Nighty nite!!
Daisy, I was afraid that I would have that problem, but, perhaps because of the activity, I haven't. And I have no trouble driving home, but usually at home, it isn't an hour before I'm nodding off!
ReplyDeletePatti, ohhh, I'll bet you do have problems! I always had trouble with car sickness as a child, but I loved roller coasters throughout my teen/adult life until the hearing started to go. And now .... no thrill rides for me! :(
Caroline, I'm sorry you are having the ups and downs. That stinks. And I hope you're better today. :)
Dawn, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't want to hear about it. You're just a bad, bad girl!! And yes, I love you, too!
Sorry about the dizziness but yaay for you finding a solution for it. Nighty night
ReplyDeleteI used to have to take dramamine whne I would go boating because I would get sick when I got back on land.
ReplyDeleteRed, yes! If I couldn't find a way to continue, I would be terribly sad.
ReplyDeleteMJ, interestingly, I have not had the problem on water, either the ocean in a liner, a canoe on a river or a speed boat on a lake.
