.
This is Lola. But you knew that.I know she is part Shih Tzu and part Terrier, but I've been unsure what kind of terrier.
My first guess was Westie.
And then I looked at the Jack Russell, and I thought, maybe ....
But I'm definitely back to Westie.
So what do you think?
As she has aged, her body has become thicker or more sturdy, and her legs are more proportionate with the Westie. It is easy to sort out the features of the Shih Tzu from the various Terrier characteristics, but the Terrier characteristics are more difficult to define. Such as the ears.... clearly ST. The nose .... Terrier, but which? It definitely looks more like the W than the JR. Her coat .... a cross between ST & Westie, with no resemblance to the JR. Her tail is a cross between the Shih Tzu and the Westie, curlier than the W, but not as full as the ST. Her general build, as mentioned above, is more like the W with some ST characteristics than the JR.
Yeah, I'm calling her a Tzu-West. Case closed.
.
I'm gonna go with the Tzu-West.
ReplyDeleteBut no matter what she is, she is a cutie!

Hear, hear!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, she's a cutie, but a handful, too. A sweet handful, but much like a willful 3 year old! I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world!
Lola is sooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait for you to meet her! Hey, just a couple months now!! WooHoo!
ReplyDeletemy sister had her dog's dna tested to check for his heritage.
ReplyDeleteWhatever she is- she is totally adorable :) Have you seen my facebook puppy? He's a JRT. A virtual pet is all I have time for right now :(
ReplyDeleteYankeegirl, I did see your virtual puppy and he is cute! Hey, if you have time for a virtual pet, good! We takes what we gets, don't we? :D And thanks, I think my Lola is precious.
ReplyDeleteOops, Mary, I skipped you! I'd love to know about a couple of my dogs, but sheesh! No, I won't pay for their "pedigree."
