These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Little note, little blessings

Just a note.

The little doe is definitely making our home hers, at least for now. She has been there every night since I discovered her. Last night she allowed me to walk to the fence, putting me roughly eight feet from her "nest." I stood for a couple minutes and talked to her, and while she watched me intently, she made no moves to leave. What a treat that was! I didn't stay long as it was getting really cold, and I was already in PJs and robe, not sufficient against the 28°. I'm so glad she is at peace with me and even the yappers.

Before I went to sleep, I felt a bit chilly, so I got up and pulled a blanket out of the cedar chest. I just tossed it on top of the bedspread for the night. When I flipped it out, the scent of cedar filled my nostrils! How nice it smelled! I snuggled back in bed with that scent lulling me to sleep. How wonderful to have the luxury of that chest to store my bedding and to enjoy the aroma!

Just another couple things to be thankful for. My life is blessed.
