These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Hot tasks on the agenda today

I'll be off to Alamogordo today to have the truck looked at to get ride (I hope!) of the eternal "gas cap" light. At least the "check engine" light isn't on all the time now.

I'm not looking forward to it. My appointment isn't till 1:30, and it is gonna be hot down there. After they finish the truck, I plan to stop at Home Depot and Lowe's to see if I can find some replacements for the plants in the giant pots on the deck. By the time I leave Alamo, it is gonna be miserably hot. And I will be nearing meltdown. Sighhh. Oh, well, it's gotta be done.

I'll be back later. I'll let you know how it goes and what delightful little plants I find. It'll all be good in the end. Isn't it always?

  3. Deb, it was 100° or above over a lot of the state today. When I got in my car after they worked on it, the thermometer in my truck was 104°. Yucky-poo!

Beans, I'll be very glad when this passes. I'm simply not wired for this kind of temps. I really really hope it is over soon.

Daisy, I did! A Sonic Cherry Limeade! Boy, did it taste good!

  7. The "fix" on the truck was inexpensive, and it seems to have worked. However .... HOWEVER .... There is a collection of about $1000 of "50,000 mile" checks and tune-up that needs to be done. What am I gonna do now? sighhhh.

Di, I bought some of those marked down plants!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
