These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

The Jaws of Steel

OK, this is what happens ....

.... when Lola (AKA The Destroyer) (Toy Terminator?) works long enough on one of those knotted rope chew toys.

I don't know what her deal is with destroying their toys, but she's good at it! At least it isn't my shoes, like Sam does. The toys are far more reasonably replaced.

A trip to Albuquerque is planned on Tuesday, a stop at PetSmart on the agenda. Good thing.

  1. Looks like Lola practices good oral hygiene - The girl likes her floss what's wrong with that. LOL

  2. Yeah, you might be right. She had already chewed the center in two and has been working on the two knots for several weeks. Goofy little girl!

  3. My dog does the same but he goes a step further and eats his toys. I will have to post a picture and show you the damage he does. Luckily he doesn't tear up shoes or anything else.

  4. Yup, that's what Ruby does too. And then she gets mad at me when I have to take it away.
It's new toy time for Lola!!
    Love Di ♥

  5. Mary, Sam eats my shoes; Lola only destroys the toys. Occasionally, however, I notice when I'm cleaning the yard, that someone eats all kinds of stuff. Holy moly!

Di, Yep, Lola gets incensed when I take away an abused toy. Pouts like a drama queen! the rope toy has lasted through several dogs, so I guess it is time for a new one.

  7. I was very glad to scroll to the bottom and read that it was just a toy eaten here-:)

  8. I know, Julie! You should have seen my face when I saw it on the couch. I had no idea what it was at first, and I was grossed out!

  9. Wow...she has some pretty strong teeth. We should take bets on how it takes her to chew up the new toy.

  10. She has gotten better. It used to be she chewed everything up, but now it is just certain ones. It's almost as if she doesn't want to waste time on the easy ones, the plush ones; she wants the challenging, supposedly indestructible ones! She is currently working on a toy made from a fire hose. We'll see how long it takes!

  11. Those things last about two or three days after Jezebel gets hold of them. She tears them to pieces too!!!

  12. Stacy, I think Jezebel has the edge on Lolita in two ways: size; jaws! She's a little (overweight) 18 lb. Shih Tzo/Terrier mix. Jezebel wins, hands down!

  13. I was a little freaked out when I saw that picture. I have never seen a dog do that to a rope toy.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
