These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

  3. Oh Lyn, my almost new dishwasher quit working right after the one year warranty expired. Nobody in the whole town knows how to repair a dishwasher. Even if I buy a new Maytag, they want $150 to install it which is crazy because all they have to do is pull the old one out and use the same hookups. I gave up trying to do anything about it.

  4. Oh, wow. I hope my luck is better than that! I have an appointment for the serviceman to come out after I'm back. Normally, he would have been able to come out tomorrow, but he's on vacation! LOL!

  5. I just had to come back to tell you Lyn that one of my best dishwashers moved out 14 years ago, the next one moved out 11years ago. This one I have now,so undependable! It will wash but rarely dries!! But at least the water doesn't sit in her bottom!!

  6. Now there's a topic for discussion, Di .... I remember when appliances routinely lasted 20-30 years. Any more, I feel fortunate if one lasts past the warranty, right, Moni? There seems to be no pride in craftsmanship, reliability, reputation.

  7. maybe your glasses are in it and clogging up the draining holes?

it's only an idea, but I hope I made you smile.....

  8. Or maybe it's the idiots from the mortgage company .... I tried to flush them since they belonged in that place! Maybe they backed up the system! LOL!

  9. Lynilu: I hear you on the crappiness of new appliances. Its like they build in failure to ensure that you will have to buy a new appliance again in a few years!

I can't believe your string of bad luck at the same time you are mourning your sister and preparing for a trip to Hawaii. The universe is testing your strength. I know you will survive this!
