These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Such a peaceful morning that the cattle were lowing ....

And the rest need no explanation.......

Enjoy the little pleasures of life.

  1. I love the flower pics, as usual, but my favorite is the ladybug on the leaf..

Oh, and I always wondered what "lowing" was when talking about cattle.

  2. Hello sweetie. Just checking in. I've never understood what the cattle lowing meant. I know, shame on my little farm girl self! Love the pics as usual!

  3. I am guessing Lowing is a low, moo-ing sound?
I love the sunflower one and the ladybug! So pretty and fun!

  4. Everyone - "Lowing" means a low mooing, or as my friend explains, a sound for cows that is like cats purring. However, I also remember my dad using it to signify that the cattle were peaceful enough that they could go down in the grass and rest. Perhaps the sound indicated the contentment to sink into the grass.

Burg - Thanks! I'm considering making my first "exhibit" to be a collection of wild flowers from Lincoln County. that is the trend that seems appropriate for here. and the ladybug ... that is my nickname for my daughter, so I'm glad that one turned out well.

Hey, Traci! No shame, 'cause I'm not sure it meant the same thing in my family that it does in the dictionary, either. But thanks on the pix!

Patti - You win the prise!!! Oh, never mind, there was no prize. duh. The sunflower and the ladybug are my favorites, too. Thanks!
